Sports & eSports Betting Guide: How to Place Your Wagers

Learn the basics of sports and esports betting, from single and multi bets to understanding odds formats.

Welcome to the TrustDice Sportsbook! Whether you are a fan of Soccer, Basketball, and Tennis, or prefer the excitement of eSports like CS2, LOL, and Valorant, our platform offers a wide range of markets and competitive odds to enhance your experience.

Quick Steps to Place a Single Bet:

A single bet is the simplest way to play. You are betting on one specific outcome of an event.

  1. Select your Sport or eSport: On the left sidebar, choose from "Top Sports" or browse the full list, including our dedicated eSports and Racing sections.

  2. Choose a Match: Navigate through "Live" (in-play), "Upcoming", or "Outright" (season winners) tabs.

  3. Pick a Market: Select a main market like "1x2", "Handicap", "Halves", "Total", etc.

  4. Confirm: Once you click on an outcome, it will appear in your Bet Slip. Enter your stake and click "Place Bet".

What Is a Multi Bet?

A Multi Bet (also known as an Accumulator or Parlay) allows you to combine two or more selections from different games—even mixing traditional sports and eSports—into a single wager.

  • The Benefit: The odds of each selection are multiplied together, offering a much higher potential payout than separate single bets.

  • The Risk: Every selection in your slip must win for the bet to be successful. If even one loses, the entire Multi Bet is lost.

Understanding Odds Formats

Odds represent the multiplier of your potential payout. TrustDice offers 6 different formats to suit your preference:

  • Decimal (European): The most popular format (e.g., 2.00).

Total payout = Stake × Odds.

  • Fractional: Common in the UK (e.g., 5/1). You win 5 units for every 1 unit wagered.

  • American: Represented by +/-. Negative numbers show the favorite; positive numbers show the underdog.

  • Hong Kong: Shows how much profit you get per $1 wagered.

  • Indonesian & Malaysian: Regional variations similar to American and Decimal formats, respectively.

How to Set Your Odds Preference

In a fast-paced live match or eSports tournament, odds can change quickly. You can control how your bet slip reacts to these changes:

  • No odds changes accepted: You must manually approve any change before placing the bet.

  • Accept any odds: The system will process your bet regardless of odds movements.

  • Accept only higher odds: The system only asks for approval if the odds decrease (become less profitable).

QUICK TIP:

You can change your preferred Odds Acceptance Rules directly within the Bet Slip settings at any time.
